I'm not an expert in the field so I thought this WikiProject would be better place to ask a second opinion on the matter. I'm a bit skeptical but I'm assuming good faith, so I advised him to bring it here. He left me a note a few days later on my talk page, explaining that he is the scientist most of the article is based on, that the species is a relatively recent discovery the name hasn't yet been settled on, and that "desert crocodile" is rather arbitrary anyway.
